Act to Prevent Trafficking attended an important meeting of the The Health and Social Care Education and Human Trafficking Group  Conference on Oct 30th 2024 in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. This well attended conference alerted all to the fact that over 80% of Victims of Human Trafficking will present at some form of Health Care setting in their first year as a Victims of Human Trafficking. For this reason the HSCEHT group have been working tirelessly to ensure that for all new Health Care Professionals, irrespective of discipline, will have as part of their education a module on Human Trafficking in the near future. Indeed the module of learning is well underway and will be in place for the forthcoming 2025 – 2026 Academic year.
